This is just the start of a brand new project from vocalist, producer and label-owner, Jakes. With an impressive catalogue of work behind him on the D Style imprint and his close affiliation with TC, this 12” is the first in a series of 4 scheduled releases, plus an album, which will feature exclusive bonus tracks and mixes from the illustrious MC maestro. Mixing up his trademark D&B badness with the some bass-heavy, jaw-dropping dubstep tunes straight from the heart of the Bristol dubstep scene, The Jakes Project is going to be BIG!

A: HATERS

First up, is ‘Haters’, with a slamming anthemic lead and aggressive gunshot vocal delivery from Jakes; leading straight into the drop, this tune takes no prisoners! With trademark big, bad bashy beats and a heavy b-line, this is an absolute dancefloor destroyer, guaranteed to smash it to pieces wherever it’s played. With TC on production duties this stomping slab of bass will definitely get the crowds going wild. AA: SWERVE

Flip over for something a little different from the jump-up juggernauts. ‘Swerve’ is a real solid heads down, hoods up roller. A live bassline drum and bass tune featuring more lyrical damage from Jakes and Spanish guitar sounds - fresh beats and fresh sounds - this tune has already been a hit amongst the big-name DJs, including the likes of: Marky, Fabio, Clipz, Chase & Status and Jack Beats.
